The Three Homeless (1918) is a partly autobiographical novel by Dan Andersson that depicts the struggle of three brothers against poverty and exclusion in early 20th century Sweden.

In De tre hemlösa, Dan Andersson tells the dark story of three brothers who learn that they are doomed to exclusion and homelessness. The novel is a cruel depiction of poverty and hard work, and is about illness, madness and doubt, about stigmatizing class markers, about sinking deeper and deeper, about spiritual hunger. In all the darkness there are also small shimmering moments of faith and trust, a possibility to rise above the pain and fear, to survive.
