What do you sell in your shop?
In my shop I offer a variety of products that I design myself. It ranges from wedding invitations to festive details like mugs and trays for the home.
Why did you decide to set up an online shop?
I wanted to reach more people and make my designs available all over Sweden. Having a webshop gave me the opportunity to reach a wider audience than just my city.
When did you open the webshop?
My webshop opened in 2013, which means I have been running it for 10 years now.
How has your e-commerce evolved since the start?
I have been working on improving the product images and SEO to increase visibility. The latest features from Abicart have really helped me to design and customize the store more easily.
In which countries do you sell your products?
I mainly focus on Sweden, but my products also reach customers in Norway and Finland.
What made you choose Abicart as your e-commerce platform?
I chose Abicart, formerly Textalk webshop, partly because of the free period offered when I started.
What are the biggest challenges you faced when it comes to running an e-commerce, and how have you solved it?
Standing out and reaching the right audience has been a challenge. I've invested in SEO optimization and making sure my images and texts are consistent for a better customer experience.
How do you market your online shop?
I use social media like Pinterest and Instagram to share my products. SEO is important to be seen on Google.
How have you dealt with the competition in the market, and standing out from similar e-retailers?
I focus on creating unique products and being active on social media to build a loyal customer base.
What are the main advantages of running a webshop?
One of the best things is that my webshop is open 24/7 so I can sell even when I sleep.
What are your future plans for your online shop?
I plan to continue developing my range and work more on search optimization. I also want to improve the design and customer experience.
What advice would you give to others who are thinking of starting a webshop?
My advice is to dare to try and experiment. Think about SEO right from the start and make sure that your images and texts interact to create a clear picture for visitors.
