This Christmas season is busy for e-retailers and for Maria, who runs Kitchen One 90, it's also busy in the kitchen!
She offers both Christmas recipes and tells about her way to e-retailers:

"My forte is baking and definitely not computers"

Here, Maria tells us about her path to becoming an e-retailer:

"Hi there!

My name is Maria Nilsson, I live with my husband and our twin boys of 17 years outside Ystad in Skåne. I have worked in the bakery industry for 25 years. I have worked with bakery, confectionery, pralines, ice cream jams, muesli and product development.

Chose to start an online store with products that I myself think are good, fun and useful. I wanted to be able to decide my working hours and work for myself.

On my web shop I sell baking utensils, baking molds, baking sets for large and small, serving sets and products for serving / table setting but also some unexpected products such as sustainable soaps and cute wheat warmers with lavender for children. We also have Beanie's freeze-dried coffee and chocolate from Chocqlate and the idea is that our own-produced products will eventually come out on the shop.

The best thing about having a business online is probably that it is flexible. You don't have to buy lots of products to fill up shelves like in a physical store.
It's also a little less risky financially, I think, although you have to put a lot of energy into marketing to be visible in this huge world.

Abicart became a natural choice when I took the course "Start your e-commerce" with Jennie Jonsson. I actually did not think I would be able to put together and fix a store online. Looked around a bit but thought that Abicart had everything I needed, with nice basic templates you can quickly start building your page. I have received great help from Abicart's support and from Jennie. My strong point is baking and definitely not computers but Abicart's templates for creating a store are easy and simple.... sure you tear your hair from time to time during the construction but... it's kind of part of it, haha :) "

Thank you Maria for sharing your e-commerce journey with us! And also good recipes :)
