It is important to understand how prices are managed and converted in a store, both to ensure correct pricing and to offer a smooth customer experience. Prices can be divided into three categories: normal prices, additional prices and purchase prices. These prices are stored in separate price lists, which are linked to the areas where they are to be used.

Sub-stores and customer groups can be linked to price lists, meaning that they use these prices instead of the main list. Multiple sub-stores and/or customer groups can be linked to the same price list. If a price field is left empty, the product will not be available for purchase. If the store allows free items, you can fill in 0 as the price, but an empty field makes the product non-purchasable even with that setting.

When changing prices on a product page or product list, the price in the active price list will change. Prices are listed either including or excluding VAT, depending on the store's default VAT settings. It is not possible to have some price lists including VAT and others excluding VAT.

When the conversion functionality is activated, existing prices will be converted to the new structure. However, it is important that the store reviews the prices and confirms that everything looks correct, as different settings can affect how the conversion takes place.

In most cases, three different price lists will be created: one for regular prices, one for extra prices and one for purchase prices. If no product has an extra or purchase price, only a price list called Global (regular price) is created.
