Content Distribution Pipeline (CDP) - Internal

Art. no. 221228183

What is CDP?

CDP stands for Content Distribution Pipeline. It’s a technical setup that handles the full flow of customer content. From delivery to processing to final distribution.

What is it used for? / What are its functions?

CDP is used when a customer wants to deliver material to us so we can process and distribute it. The content is imported into Webarch, where it’s processed, and then exported to Prenly and/or back to the customer, or to a third party, depending on the setup.

To use CDP, it is recommended to set up a material flow first (e.g. PDF routing to Webarch). In addition to the usual setup steps, we will need to know where the final material should be sent.

Technical details

The output is an EPUB package that includes the articles in HTML format, the pages as PDFs, and metadata describing the article boxes on each page.

How is CDP implemented? - What actions are needed from us?

Customer Success sets up the material flow as usual. The only difference for CDP is that the FTP credentials for the output need to be added to the Content conversion card.

How is CDP implemented? - What actions are needed from the customer?

The customer needs to set up and send us FTP credentials, where the final output should be exported to.
