API key
The API key is generated in Adyen's portal under Developers -> API Credentials.
A tip is to open a new tab in the browser and log in to Adyen's portal there so that you have easy access to both the store's admin and Adyen's portal.
You should then have received API credentials from Adyen and then they will be listed in the field on the right. Click on the key.
Scroll down to the "Server settings", click on the "API key" tab (1), then on "Generate API key" (2) and then on the copy icon (3).
Go back to Abicart admin and paste the key in the API key field.
Client key
Go back to the Adyen portal, to the same page as above. Scroll down to "Client settings". Click on "Generate client key" (1) and then on the copy icon (2).
Switch back to Abicart's admin and paste the key in the Client key field.
Merchant account
This information is retrieved in Adyen's portal under Settings -> Merchant Accounts. Copy the name of your account listed on the right under "Account code".
Go back to Abicart's admin and paste it in the "Merchant account" field.
API URL prefix
You can find this prefix in Adyen's protal under Developers API URLs. Click the Copy button to the right of the prefix box, then paste it into the API URL prefix field in the store.
Activate test mode
If you want to test the payment method before you go live, check this box and enter your test information in the fields above.
Webhook URL
In Adyen's portal under Developers -> Webhooks, click on the blue Webhooks button at the top right.
Find the one called "Standard notification" and then click "Add".
On the top line, you should enter a name in the description field. Click on the pencil icon on the right and enter a name, for example the name of the store. At "Server configuration", paste the following URL:
https://admin.abicart.se/backend/adyen/webhook
Also check that Events is set to "Default events enabled".
In the next box, Security, we need to enter the data for "Basic authentication" as well as an HMAC key.
You can find the information for "Basic authentication" in Abicart on the payment method.
Copy the username and password and enter these in Adyen.
Then we need to generate an HMAC key. This key is only shown when you have generated it, so you have to copy it and put it in the store's settings directly. Click on "Generate" (1), then on "Copy" (2) and finally "Apply" (3). Then paste it into the HMAC key field in the store.
Add the shop domain in Adyen
One last thing you have to do is enter the store's domain name in Adyen's portal. Go to Developers -> API Credentials. Edit the credentials you created earlier and then scroll down to "Client settings". A bit down in the box is the heading "Add allowed origins". Here you must add all the domains you have entered in the store.
Remember to enter the domain both with and without www. If you have different domains for each language, these must also be entered with and without www, for example abicart.no, www.abicart.no, abicart.com, www.abicart.com, etc.
Now Adyen Checkout is ready to be used at checkout.
